It is no longer recommended to use these red feeding tubes!!!
They are relatively stiff which can cause injury or irritation, and they come with 2 holes, one slightly above the other, which could cause risk of fluids ending up in the lungs.
The tubes we use now are called: Single Lumen Umbili-Cath Single-Lumen Polyurethane Umbilical. The links to purchase the recommended feeding tubes are on the Baby Care page of this website.
Be sure to pinch close the tube with your fingernail before you gently and slowly pull it out.
